Tenancies begin at 12:00pm (midday) on the commencement date of the tenancy, and this is when you can collect the keys from our office.
It may be possible to uplift the keys earlier in the morning with the prior agreement of the Property Manager for the tenancy. This will depend on the condition of the property when the last residents moved out, and how long it takes to get any remedial work done.
Moving house can be stressful, so please don’t arrange for a removal truck to be at your new house at 8am to unload, when you will not be able to get in, and when our office will not be open.
If the house is ready, and you want to move in sooner, we may be able to arrange this by signing an amended tenancy agreement with an earlier start date.
Even if the property is ready to go, and the keys are in the office for you, we will not release the keys if all of the initial monies are not yet paid, or if the documents are not fully signed, so please make sure that these things are done. If you are unsure, please check with our Letting Agents, or the Property Manager for your tenancy.
If you have money to pay on the day you are collecting keys, please make sure that you bring it to the office in cash so that you are not delayed.
It is the responsibility of a Tenant to arrange for the connection of their electricity and telephone, and gas (if necessary), and to pay all charges incurred during the tenancy. If you would like some help with this, please ask our Letting Agents when you sign your tenancy agreement.
