How to apply for a property

When you make an application you will need to include additional documentation to support your application.

This includes:

Photo ID - a passport or a New Zealand Drivers Licence. If you do not have either of these documents, please discuss other options with our Letting Agents.

Proof of your current address - you should include a copy of a letter addressed to you at your current address. Good examples are electricity and telephone accounts, and letters from government departments.

Rental references - we need a rental reference from a current or previous landlord, including their contact details so that we may call the reference and ask them some other questions. Once you have been identfied as one of our preferred applicants we will ask for the following information:

Proof that you have the financial means to pay the rent regularly – you need to include your last three payslips, or other satisfactory printed proof that you can pay the rent for your tenancy.

Emergency contact details – you need to provide contact details of your next-of-kin, so that if there is an emergency situation during your tenancy, we know who to contact.

what happens next?

Once we have your completed application, the Letting Agent will complete reference checks and discuss the application with the Property Manager. From here the application will be put forward to the Property Owner. We will do our best to advise you of the outcome of your application before the close of the next business day.

To be fair on all other applications, if your application is successful, you will be asked to sign tenancy agreements,  as soon as possible to secure the tenancy.
